Need Help unsuscribing from thread followups

When I follow the link on the email to unsubscribe I get an "Invalid " post. I've also tried going into my user CP,unsuccessfully. Help please!
Edired to add I have changed the email notification part on the USER CP but am still getting them.

Under "Quick Links," go to subscribed threads. Mark the box to the right of the one you want to discontinue. At the bottom, go to the selection and choose unsubscribe from thread. Then hit go.
