Popup for speed test keeps popping up

Hello, this is the third time I've tried to post this.

THe following spam popup keeps popping up:

I have never been to the website as it seems to be from Ireland and I've never been there, never mind camped there.

HOW do I get rid of it? It comes back every single time, and no, I always click no, I don't want to 'help other RV'ers."

It appears to be from the company that runs this forum and also sponsors the RV park review website

https://campgrounds.rvlife.com/

It's for an RV park south of Bandon at Gold Beach Oregon.

If you say yes, it will quickly measure the WiFi speed at Ireland's Ocean View RV Park and post the result for folks at:

https://campgrounds.rvlife.com/regio...w-rv-park-2330

https://www.goldbeachinn.com/ireland...k/irv-features

If that's not your actual location I have no clue why you are seeing it.

I've camped in Gold Beach once, (the alternator on our tow vehicle went out) but we didn't stay at that place.

Thanks, though. I will have to figure out how to get rid of it.

Sometimes it’s best not to respond at all, even with a no, and just click on the x at the top right. Then clear all the “cookies” from your phone or computer. On my Apple devices, that means going to Safari in Settings and scrolling down to “clear history and website data”. Hope that helps.

I click "don't allow" when it asks for my location. This keeps the Internet Speed Test from coming up as an option. However, I don't do it to suppress the speed test; I do it because my ISP is 30 miles from where I actually live, in a different county and "allow" causes other problems for me. YMMV.

I've had the problem of the pop up having the name of the wrong RV park. I suspect that if the park or campground you are in is not in the RV Life database, is sometimes chooses one nearby.

Once I run the speed test I've never had it pop up again when I'm in the same location, although if I switch to one of the other RV Life owned forums (iRV2 or the Escape Forum) it will pop up again.
