With the upgrade, I just noticed that if you click on an emoticon, it is inserted at your cursor position. (Before, for those of short memory, emoticons were always added at the end of your text block. You had to either think ahead or cut & paste.)

I'm having trouble using the emoticons. I have the ENABLE EMOTICONS box checked, but if I try to put one in when posting, it just gives me text descibing the emoticon. What am I doing wrong?

Nothing. The text you see is the "code" that is read by everyones browser and it shows as code when you are writing your post.

After you actually add your post to the forum, the code turns into the smiley for all to see.

Everyonce in a while you'll see a bunch of code where a smilie should be in a post. It's important to remember to hit the spacebar BEFORE placing a smilie...if you're doing it at the end of a sentence, etc.

Otherwise the coding gets confused
