Problem editing profile

Some things have changed since I originally signed up and I am trying to change profile but get below message. Can someone help?

Change has not been done because user session is not valid.

Also don't forget to go to the "User CP" located at the top on the left.

Yes, that is where I tried to edit. I enter all the updated info and when I go to save it, the error message comes up
