Scam reports! (e-bay, craigslist, or other)

Hey, everybody!

We've consolidated all of the posts on sales scams (ebay, craigslist, etc.) into a single topic in our Referrals forum.

If you want to report experience(s) or knowledge of such scams, please do so in the Fiberglass Trailer Scams topic.

Using this single topic to discuss these scams will make the reports easier to find if someone wonders about a particular ad.

It will also help keep the rest of FiberglassRV.com focused on the more positive aspects of camping with small, molded fiberglass travel trailers.

Please feel free to post scams that you notice/think people might be confused (taken in) by, but consider that there's no way FiberglassRV.com can be the place to verify whether any given or particular auction or advertisement that's a scam. We just don't have the resources to provide an exhaustive, up to date list. (What if we missed listing some of them?)

What we do want to do is help everyone learn how to recognize a scam when they see one!

And as these scams get more sophisticated (or morph into different forms), we welcome further discussion about it! ... in a centralized place... so everyone can find the thread if they have something to report. It's a HOT topic... or may be again soon.
