Is there a way I can view new posts without wading through all the referrals to trailers for sale?

I don't think so...
For what it's worth, we're in the process of upgrading the forum software; maybe that feature will be improved in the new era. (No estimated date of arrival on the upgrade, but we are working on it.)

I believe what Glenn means is that when you click the 'New Posts' link you see all new posts including referrals. Personally I like seeing the referrals as there are some real neat trailers being posted.

Yes, Cathy. That's what Glenn's talking about; but it brings up ALL new posts, and doesn't (that I can find) have an option for removing one or more of the forums that you (or Glenn) may not be interested in viewing. (In Glenn's case, he doesn't care to see the new ads for trailers for sale.)
Have a great day!

Personally,
I enjoy reading all the new posts. The referrals keep me up-to-date on prices and what mods have been most popular.
After all variety is the spice of life---enjoy!

if the webmaster ever needed to do away with referrals so save money on bandwidth you could just post search engine link that searches all of craiglist. like this one for example Here im sure there are others out there too.

If you click on " View New Posts" (near the TOP, two thirds from the left, next to [b]My Controls) you can view all new posts. Also, you can skip the ones that show they are in the For Sale Referrals Forum.
enjoy, Mike

I would hate to lose the referrals section of this site. It's useful both for finding trailers as well as determining current prices for trailers in your area.

Besides, the For Sale sections (not sure about referrals) help bring funding for this web site, right?

What I wouldn't like about that is that a good number of referrals don't come from Craigslist. In fact, I think the others are the most useful because they are harder to find by a general search. Examples would be those from a local paper's classifieds, from an obscure online listing, or from someone driving by a trailer with a "For sale" sign in the window.
My hope is that the referrals stay as they are - I can simply scroll past them if I'm not interested. I might feel differently if there were hundreds (and sure, if it's customizable that "view new posts" not include referrals for those who don't want to see them - great! I wasn't sure that was possible)

Baglo,
You can do a work around. First go to the forums you don't want to read then mark the forum as read. Then when you select read new posts, the posts you don't want to see won't show up.
Sort of like fishing, you have to travel a bit to get to your favourite holes.
