Just finished our first trip in our 1982
scamp 13. Thanks to some advice and ideas on this site it went off without any issues and our modifications to the trailer made it easy.
2500 miles with stays at Lake Anna State Park near Fredricksburg, VA which had nice sized sites and clean facilities; Lake Powhatan outside Asheville, NC where we weren't able to get hookups but
battery worked out fine and facilities were ok; and one night at a Lazy A Campground off I-81 in WV which worked out perfect for a late pull in, dinner, campfire, and early morning hit the road. The owner even went and picked up groceries for us.
The only tough part was the road conditions on I-81 in PA on our way back to RI. We had gone I-95 on our way down over the GW in NYC which wasn't bad (although it was 4am).
