Well we had a good time in our
Bigfoot the last 23 days. We put on about 6,200 miles this trip and saw other camper on the road also, what we saw on this trip was a
Casita about every 620 miles (10 trailers) and a
Scamp about every 775 miles (8 trailers) and last came Bigfoots at 1550 miles (4 trailers). We could not believe that we saw a T/C camper every 90 miles (69 campers) on the roads. We have good and bad weather on the trip but loved coming home to lots of sunshine. This truck and camper combo did much better than the other TV and trailers we have taken on a long trips like this. We had lots of wind mid way into the trip (40+mph head & crosswinds). 3 days of driving in too much rain. We could not be happier with our
Bigfoot camper and truck combo. I stopped for gas 20 times and we got from 9.5mpg. up to 13.6mpg. The overall trip average came in at 12.86mpg. Not bad for this combo at 59mph and the tach at 2040rpms. The GPS said our moving average was 55.8mph. Well we head out again to Cal. In two weeks see some of you soon.
