Strictly an answer to your question on your web log. No one else will have interest.
The upcharge is about standard for upgrading to 100% synthetic. Presumably you are already using synthetic, otherwise probably should not have been used. Basic charge is about standard on today's expensive oil market, perhaps a trifle high, but considering the isolated market where you are. Personally, next time you need a change, I'd wait for a large city with your dealership or where one of our members can really recommend a local service. As you've learned, we have folks in almost every nook and cranny of the U.S. and Canada. (I know I'll be cricitized for this comment, but I'd go 50000 miles before I'd have one of my cars dragged into a JiffyLube!)

Thanks, George, for the reply.

We had some wonderful days with all those wonderful fiberglassrv people at the Oregon Gathering.
We learned about potlucks, dutchovens, golfballgames and more. We take it all home.
Thanks everybody :-)

We are travelling north along the foggy Oregon Coast. Is it ever sunny there? ;-)
At the moment we stay at Pacific RV-Park in Tillamook along the 101.
Main reason to select this camp: wifi !
A lot of work to do ;-)

Photo: Newport, nice fishing port. We spend the foggy morning there.

Enjoy the fog and cool weather while you can Lex and Rita. It's foggy and cool at the coast because it's flaming hot inland. It will be close to 100 degrees when you find your way moving east.

Now I have to go check out what you've posted on your blog

Hi, Rita and Lex

to Canada !
Thanks, Raymond.
At the moment it is like the south of the USA, quite warm, > 30C !

What do you think that they will do with my apples?
Is there an apple/broccoli war going on between Canada and the USA?
I found another 2 apples in my car. Will they eventually cause the destruction of Canada?

...."apple/broccoli war"...

Officially, they destroy them, but maybe they

Fruits and vegetables that are produced on both sides of the border are not allowed to cross over, except by registered transporters. And this on both sides.

But you will find nice and good fruits in Okanagan Valley.

Lex and Rita,

I put the two bouquets of flowers together as one, just beautiful. Prior to my leaving I passed them on to some friends from my town of Sonora, CA who didn't arrive with their 13 Scamp at Bandon until late Sunday night. I think Dave said he got to speak with you just before you left on Monday. Any way, he and Julie were staying several nights so I passed the flowers on to them.

It was so nice getting to meet you two and I wish the very best trip from here on out until you finally leave the US and Canada in October. Don't forget the Oregon gathering is the 3rd weekend of July each year so if you ever come back to the US be sure to attend.

Happy travels

Thanks, Joy It was our pleasure too!
We loved being at the Oregon Gathering.

After a cloudy Oregon Coast, a sunny Washington State, a hot Vancouver Island and a very pleasant stay at Ian&Paddy's we are in sunny Vancouver now.

We just visited the Escape Trailer factory of Reace & Tammy Harmadiuk, in Chiliwack, Canada.
Again a warm welcome.
They make very nice trailers, with wooden interiors
We like them very much.
Photos on our log in due time.

We 'll drive the Icefields Parkway in Canada.
We are looking for recommendations for campgrounds in a practical sense.
Where to stay if we like to do the Icefields Experience?
Thanks in advance.

Lex, we have stayed here and found it to be very nice...Whistler Campground, just outside Jasper by 5 minutes.

-Wapiti Campground is just across the highway...literally...

Just a note on the weather, we have been there in late June and had a wet snowfall....

Thanks, Mike.
Whistler is full this weekend. All campgrounds are full, they said. We were directed to the overflow ground, but it is so far from Jasper, that we travelled to KOA Hinton eventually.
The night before we stayed at the nice, but oh so noisy Kicking Horse campground.

Spotted you Sunday at 12:25 at the corner east of Jasper where the Bighorn Sheep hang out, you were crossing the highway just behind us as you were going to look at the sheep.
