Seeing where you are from I can see why "LOL" I was raised until 16 years old on Kodiak Island and married in Fairbanks leaving Alaska in 1977 for Arizona which I fell in love with, it is 3/4 forested. I loved Alaska, Yukon and B.C. forever being a part of my soul but as a middle age man with a wonderful middle aged school teacher wife it is cold now for arthritic bones there, the long winters shut in would drive me buggy, as a younger man I remember being out all day on my snow machine but now I would just be found frozen dead on it. I like camping year round, Arizona is great for that and much more. I will one last time return to Alaska god willing, like the old salmon I am now to see the rivers of my youthful home if time allows, before I go fishing else where forever. Thanks for your comment, its encouraging to me because it’s been a learning curve for me and this cursed electronic buddy named Dell. My grandchildren are computer wiz kids, a very tech savvy lot...These teenage spawn would not last 5 minuets there on their own...They are city kids; Gramps is an enigma for them...But then I have been close enough to touch a whale while in a 16 foot skiff, that’s a powerful memory to have forever.
