Android Campground App

I need help folks.

What Android app do you use to find campgrounds. What are the best features and also the downside, if any.

Thanks for your help.

I'm an Apple user, so I don't know what is available for Android, but I can tell you I think WE CAMP HERE is the best of the Apple camping apps, IMHO better than Woodall's. If We Camp Here is available for Android, definitely give it a try.

We've been pretty happy with Allstays, although I don't like the "dollar sign" pricing- "$" is cheap, "$$$$" is expensive.

They're now charging for Allstays app? Lucky me, I downloaded it 2 years ago when it was free. Between that on my tablet and CampWhere on my iPhone, everything is easy. The occasional CG that one might miss is generally on the other.

With Allstays, you need to have reception to view the map, but the CG location 'pins' and basic descriptions are viewable without wifi because they reside on your device. Check out their website first to see how you like it, then decide if you want to get the app.

I have both Allstays Camp & RV and RVParky. I've compared them and found the although you do have to pay for Camp & RV, it generally has more campgrounds, as well as many other POIs of interest to RVers. You can use its filter to look for specific types of campgrounds. The website version, while not as useful, is free. If I was only going to use one, it would be Camp & RV, but since RVParky is free, why not both?

I also have Camp Where (iPhone only) and while great for non commercial campgrounds, it is no longer supported or available at iTunes.

Some others (iOS, but may also be available for Android) are RV Parks by RV Parking, Camp Finder by CampingRoadTrip.com, Woodalls, Oh Ranger Park Finder, Good Sams. All have their merits & faults - any of the free ones are worth checking to see if they fit your style of camping. I'd also be sure I had a bookmark on my phone's browser to rvparkreview.com.
