Fiberglass friends,
We plan a week in Indiana in mid-May and need more information. From the RV park reviews there is a warning about "bag worms" at Brown County S.P. in May. What are these and is mid-May a bad time for them?
Can anyone give us site/loop/campground recommendations at these two parks? My wife highly seeks modern/clean showers, but other than that we favor the usual things-larger sites, privacy, and proximity to the amenities.
Thanks so much,in advance

Tony & Darlene...............Brown County is my favorite. I have only stayed in the Taylor Ridge electric so I can't speak for the whole park. The shower facilities are VERY nice. I don't know why the bag worms would be an issue. Bag worms live in a little bag that resembles a miniature pine cone. They will kill a small tree or shrub if left on their own. They like pines, junipers, etc. The female bag worm stays in the bag and eats the plant and lays the eggs for next year. The male becomes a type of moth and flies away eventually. I don't think that they really bother people. You can google them and read about them. We fight them at our house every year as we have alot of the plants they feed on. Mostly we pick them off by hand and burn them. But enough about that.
Spring Mill is a wonderful place too. The showers are not quite as nice but are very acceptable. And watching the old mill work is really neat. I hope this helps.
