Hi all, new here, great forum.
We just bought a Boler, and am taking it to Grand Lake , Co from Phoenix ,AZ. Would love to hear about any must sees, or camper friendly stops along the way. We plan on making it a two week trip.
Thanks

I personally always wanted to see the mesa verde cliff dwellings in cortez, CO
Mount Evans, CO is the Highest Paved Road in North America and it is sure is pretty up there.

John, first off Congrats on you new Boler! As far as what to see and where to camp, can you tell me which route you will be taking? I think I can figure it out, but I thought I would ask that first......... From the south, a must for me is the Great Sand Dunes, Mesa Verde, But there is soooooooo much more to see so let me know which way your coming and I will give you some ideas of what to see. Grand Lake will be cool at night so be prepared for Spring in the Rockies. Actually it could be cold, So bring things you can layer.

John, and congratulations on finding a super Egg to call your own! Don't know which route(s) you are considering, but the Four Corners area is interesting, Black Canyon on the Gunnison is awesome, Manitou Springs cliff dwellings are super, and, of course, there's Pike's Peak. Your destination in Rocky Mtn NP is soooo beautiful.
We wish you safe journeys and many, many happy memories. And yeah, we all LUV photos! L 'n D

Depends on what kind of thing you want to see.
For scenery, there is the Big Three, North Rim, Zion, and Bryce.

There is a good campground right outside the park at Zion and Bryce. We stayed in a cabin at North Rim.
A word of warning, Zion can be HOT during the day, our son had mild heat stroke and at the same time, Bryce and North Rim can be COLD at night. We experienced 24°F at Bryce in mid July.
At Bryce we stayed HERE: http://www.go-utah.com/Rubys-Inn-Campground/
Zion RV parks are listed HERE: http://www.go-utah.com/topicResults.cfm?topic=camping
You have to spend at least one day in each place, there is so much to see.
Have fun!

You will like each campsite for different reasons.
We went to one, on our first big camp-out, that we thought, "Oh no! This is awful!" then had the whole beach to ourselves next morning, early.
Another bad experience we talk about now, and read about in the log book, as Worst Ever! By the way, I can tell you the place to avoid most of all in the whole of western Canada, if you want burgers to go. Wisdom! Experience! Fond memories, and not so fond. All fun, all coming soon!
Enjoy, grasshopper.
