That is a great birthday gift. Happy birthday.
I know the area well. One of my favorites.

Thanks Shirley, it has been cool, beautiful, and learning experience all in one! Our creator showed me I can have it all with simplicity! By the way I met a young woman (39) who quit her job, sublet her apt., and left San Francisco to see the country on a bike! Now talk about courage! Everything she needs is on that bicycle and she went through Nevada and some storms..she is heading up towards Gunnison (ms) next..so who thinks one is not safe in a Scamp on the road! Bravo for her! She loved the Scamp!

Anita, I don't know where that campground is, but for sure will look it up. I'm headed to Ridgway on the 19th to celebrate Solstice and the Supermoon on the 23rd.
Happy Birthday.

A few years back we rented a cabin for a week on the West Delores River. We joined a friend and his family for one of the most enjoyable weeks of my life. My friend grew up in Telluride. He showed us around and introduced us to several of the local characters - very colorful people who were there before the Telluride area became such a huge tourist attraction.

Hi Patti, Ray, thank you for B'day wishes! Going towards Rico/Telluride it is a mile out of Delores on rt. side! There are signs before hand..it is $35 a nite but reduced for wkly, monthly! New owners are awesome they work so very hard to keep things up, help people. Website is www.deloresrivercampground.com .. great place to camp at Ridgeway..hope there is water. Not sure my V6 will pull it up over Red Mt. Pass could always go hwy 191. Just lovin this so much stayed an additional 3 days! Wish I didn't have to go back..LOL

Shirley,
I travel 141 frequently. you are right-beautiful.

Anita, I did look it up and saved the link. I have camped at Cayton campground in the Lizard Head area and hope to get there yet this summer after I get back from PHX.
Enjoy your stay.

Traveled to Rico absolutely gorgeous. Checked out a couple national parks on way back! Definitely will try those. My Scamp is a bit unleveled tonite..not sure why we did have rain. Refrigerator worked great! Water & electric great! Black water no leaks..I did my own extension to help me getting to it..used elbow..will take photo when unhook tomorrow! Will see how V6 pulls up the mt. On 160 tomorrow.try to leave around 10 reduce wind chances. With winds as they are sway bar next on my list!
