Dead Horse Point SP, Utah

Just finished Sitah's longest journey yet. From Portland, OR to Dead Horse Point State Park, Utah (30 miles from Moab) and back. Spent the week with my teenage son hiking, mountain biking and just plain relaxing. Despite lots of sketchy weather during the drive and a few mornings in the low 20s, Sitah did great. Nearly 2,000 miles of towing at about 14.3mpg with my '22 Tacoma, going about 60-70mph... lower when it was windy/icy/snowy. Met a gentleman named Glen who is full-timing it in a '21 19' Escape. Only other egg seen during the whole trip. This is just a tune-up for Sitah's summer voyage, which will span from mid-June to late August and many miles of adventures.

I hiked to Delicate Arch 2 weeks earlier, on my way home from picking up a pre-loved Escape 19. Great park. Enjoy your summer trip! Have you decided where you will go, or are you going to 'wing it'?

Hey Mike,

Part of the summer I know where I'm going. The other part is totally winging it.
