Escaped the Oregon/Washington triple digit heat wave by going near Mt. Adams, to Takhlakh Lake, purported to be the most scenic campground in the Sate of Washington. There are double and single sites, no hook ups. There were some generators running during the day, but all was quiet after 10 PM. The water was cool, there are fish to be caught. You are miles from services, off gravel roads, so bring lots of ice or propane! There are even three geocaches in the area.

We just spent three days at Lake T. Nice campground but surprisingly almost filled during the week. Gorgeous surroundings and a very pleasant place to be in. Reservations a good idea. Thanks, Jackie!

well i would like to see a small get-to-gether up this way next yr. Non formal, no structured events. Just a get-to-know-ya meet for a few days.... Who wants to be in charge??? LOL
Several nice campgrounds with group camping. I will look into Tiadapaim campgrounds and Cowlitz Falls Camp grounds....... They are both on Hwy 12 E. of I-5 Morton WA area....

Even Greyland beach has circle campsite with about 10 spots each..

Hmmm.... I wonder if a place could be found that has a building that we get inside for converastion and meals. I'm thinking a February "rain" gathering might be fun.

I understand the fair weather thing. I bought my trailer so I could be a foul weather camper as well as a fair weather camper.
