Question Eugene Camping

Will be in Eugene Sept 16th and 17th for a couple of concerts I was wondering if anyone knows of a good camping spot around Eugene.
A site with power would be great want to park the Scamp and set up a tent.

I don't have power, but try Delta Campground, off the 126 east, about 40 miles out of town

The host is lovely

Thanks Gina , seems like a great place but 40 miles after a rock concert might be a little far to drive , but this is the type of camping we enjoy.
Thanks

You might try Richardson Park at Fernridge Reservoir. It is probably about 15 from town. Then try Delta Campground on the way home. It is beautiful up 126.

Last time we were through those parts there was a HOTEL which offered R/V parking AND camping alongside the hotel. Don't remember its name, but it wasn't a dumpy hotel and the camping was nice as well. It was located not too far outside U-gene, south just off eye-5!!

Smile Park Suggestion: Deerwood RV Park is a winner!!

Hi, from Eugene!
Jacquie & Bill here.

Deerwood Park is a winner. It is 5 min. from Eugene, beautifully landscaped, restrooms & laundry clean, very nice staff, long level pads, water & electricity (WIFI available) easy on/off I5, (very modest traffic noise - you'll sleep well).

We have referred people there for years. They are very quiet people - maybe you shouldn't mention the rock concerts

Please Google: Deerwood RV Park, Eugene, OR and read the reviews of other campers.

Note: bring some quarters for the showers.

The park's site is www.deerwoodrvpark.com

Have a good trip,
Bill & Jacquie G.

PS if you have any questions, send us a PM.

Thanks for all the help we are going to go to The premier camp ground. We will be traveling with a Yellow Lab ( Shasta) so the pond and off leash dog area sold us. Also a 15% off coupon. Then will will go over to the coast how about camping on the ocean.

Thanks for the tip Bill and Jackie! Deerwood Park looks like a great campground, and next time we need a spot near Eugene we'll stay there!

best wishes,
Jeanne

What part of the coast did you want to stay at? There's lots of beautiful choices, although most public campgrounds are not right on the edge of the ocean. A couple of exceptions that I can think of offhand are Beachside and Tillicum Beach. Tillicum Beach has some lovely sites (no hookups) on a cliff overlooking the ocean, with an access trail to a long sandy beach. Just a couple of miles to the north, Beachside has some sites with an ocean view, and has hookups and easy access to the sandy beach.

Beachside Campground: Oregon State Parks and Recreation: Rates

Tillicum Beach Campground: Siuslaw National Forest - Tillicum Campground

I might have some other ideas if I knew where you plan to go. Whereever you decide, I know your dog will LOVE the Oregon coast!!!

best wishes,
Jeanne
