The weekend of August 19,20 and 21 was the second weekend of the annual Alabama Alligator hunt. It's two weekends every August. My awesome sons got Trilly the
Trillium Trailer ready after she had been sitting for 20 years. Drew and I cleaned the mold and mildew from the inside and outside while Donnie repacked the bearings and took the rims to have new
tires mounted. Donnie also checked the wiring and made sure all of the running and brake
lights work! We found that no critters (thank Heavens) damaged any of the internal wiring or gas lines. The original stove,
lighting, heater (we didn't need it but we checked it) and
fridge work! Although the
fridge does not get cold enough. I know someone who may be able to fix the
fridge. So we stayed the weekend of the gator hunt at Roland Cooper State Park in Camden Alabama which is where the weigh in for the gator hunt was held. That is a beautiful park too! The next weekend, August 26, 27 and 28 we took trilly to Tannehill Historic Ironworks State Park for the annual VolksJam VW show. I am not only an organizer of the show but I am the DJ too! What a great weekend too! I am towing Trilly with a 1969 Ford F100 and everyone loves that! Next year I may be towing Trilly with a 1976 VW Westphalia camper!! Here are some pics!
