Well, my wife and I decided to try the Indian Boundary Recreation Area in Tennessee. We found out as much about it as we could without actually going there, and made reservations for five days in August. I hope to get some hiking in to bag some peaks, and we'll canoe on the lake, and also hike to see some of the nearby waterfalls (which I hear are abundant).

This is in a part of the Southern Appalachians where we've never been, so it will be a treat to venture into new territory. I'll let you guys know what the campground is like.

It sounds nice, Bob! Just the kind of place I'd like to set up my easel!

I flew my husband down to Alabama for the Tennessee football game last year! I even bought him a t-shirt with the "I hate Orange!" the slogan of the weekend! He'd been a long time fan of Alabama football and he loved his birthday present! It's our goal to get out of here for 3 months and make the rounds of the great football arenas down south! I'd love to take the Lovebug down there for it and tailgate with the fans!
Are you by chance a Tennessee fan?

Cheers! I'll be waiting for the campground report! Have fun!

My two oldest brothers graduated from the Universityof Georgia. Frankly, I didn't even know Tennesse had a football team. Or a college.

We can't wait to see Indian Boundary. It's going to be hard going to work every day and dreaming about our late-summer fiberglass rv trip!

I think you will enjoy the campground. We haven't stayed there but did drive through last fall. Many of the campsites are large and private and there was a nice path around the lake.

Let us know how it goes.
