Just got back from camping at Indiana Dunes State Park. One word, WOW! They have redone the state park and did a great job.
Slab cement for parking the camper, paved Roads & large campsites. Wooded to partially wood campsites. Bathrooms are really nice. Walking paths are great and the nature center is interesting. At the nature center they have
windows to watch and take pictures of all the animals and a microphone to listen. Easy to get there and my 13 year old daughter even enjoyed herself. We plan on going back there when the leave start to turn.
A 20 minute walk through the sandy hills of the dunes and there is Lake Michigan. Beach is not great but nice. If anyone is in the area, I would recommend stopping at this campground. Three years ago, I would not have been saying the same thing.
$25 a night with on site electric.
Picture taken at the top of one of the many hills.
