Hello,
After a hectic week of work on the
Burro, it was ready enough for a trip.
We met our friends, two families with monster rigs, at the Rivernook campgrounds on the Kern River above Isabella L.
The weather was hot and dry during the day with pleasantly cool short sleeve evenings. There were noteably very few bugs, except for the wasps which made outside food preparation challenging.
The river was low, but rafting was still enjoyable with the intermittent butt bumps from below.
Fishing was slow with less fish in the aftermath of the big weekend, however, there were giant trout up to five pounds being caught.
The
Burro trailed well behind my Liberty CRD. There were the occasional tongue jumps with associated clank, but otherwise it was quite controllable.
The added
weight of the snap together flooring really helped the trailer not to bounce around as it did prior to the installation.
We are looking forward to our next outing. That after a lot more refurb.
Mitchell
