Trailer: Boler 1300 1977 (#2033 L EGGO)

Hello All,

In late winter we sought advice on what others do with vulnerable trailers while going off on a cruise. Thanks for the many suggestions offered.

We did take off on a 4,000 mile jaunt around Florida, making good use of excellent state, county and municipal campgrounds: Ft. Desoto near Tampa, Turtle Beach near Sarasota, Anastasia near St. Augustine, Fort Clinch near Jacksonville, AND Jetty Park at Port Canaveral, from where we did sail on the "Carnival Glory".

Jetty Park is a lovely beach destination in itself, and an ideal jump-off spot, just a few miles from the cruise terminal. Many RVers choose to stay in the overflow area, literally a stone's throw from the channel with a constant passing parade of ships, large and small.

At the cruise terminal, we parked in a lot operated by the Canaveral Port Authority, fenced, secured, patrolled, and just "spittin'" distance from our ship. It was pricey at $182 for a double spot, but we had complete confidence that L'EGGO would be safe while were off having a wonderful ship-board experience.

Hi: Des& Diane...Now thats my idea of "Winter Camping". Pure white "Sand" the odd cruise to take, and a palm to park under. Just "Watch for falling Coconuts".
