magdelan islands/iles de la madeleine

Has anyone travelled to these islands? They belong to Quebec but are accessible by ferry from Souris, PEI.

We are thinking of going but wondering which of the 5-6 campgrounds is best.

I've been many times as we have family there - a wonderful place to visit!! Unfortunately I can't tell you anything about the campgrounds as we usually stay with family - but I would highly recommend the visit.

Let me know if you go - I'm taking a road trip out to PEI in August and it may make a nice side trip :-)

Hi. I have benn there and it is just fantastic. You can look at my report in my blog: Îles de la Madeleine » www.marcbarriere.com I have been to Camping Belle Plage in Havre Aubert. The Islands a quite long and very different. Stay there the longer you can. I have been there a month and I didnot see everything. The ferry with my Trillium 16' was easy. No problem at all. We had like it very very very much!

I just checked out the blog but mostly looked, could only read a little. I think the words we know in both languages are "enchanting", or "charming"! Your photographs are really good. Merci.
