This northern island sounds nice. It's known for dry, cool summers so a lot of campers go there, from Australia and southern Asia.

Onsen Kumanoyu Open-air Bath is 5 minutes on foot from camp and is a natural hot spring.
Getting there Take Route 335 towards Aidomari and turn left onto Route 334 and the campsite is about 4 km before Rausu across from Kuma-no-yu Onsen.
Notes:
Kuma-no-yu is a beautiful onsen and attracts many visitors in the summer months. The name means "Bear Hot Spring" and if you are lucky (or not) you may see one in the area.
-------
The Hot Springs with (possible) bear would make me feel right at home! And, hey, does anyone know what the activity of "onsen" is? It sounds very relaxing.
