Ottawa - Boondocking /Private drive

Hi fellow campers.

My better half and myself would like to go camping near/in Ottawa for one night Sunday Oct 7th. Is there anybody who would tolerate a Vanagon Weekender (soon to be replaced by a FGRV!)and it's little trailer on their drive? A suburban area would be ideal so we could leave the van/trailer and use public transit to reach Ottawa city centre. We'd be off Monday morning.

We would happily return the favor if you wish to spend some time in Montreal. We live on the south shore and you can be downtown in 30 minutes.

Cheeeers

Walmart is tolerant of people staying overnight in their parking lot. I live in Calgary, during the Stampede the far end of every Walmart parking lot is stuffed full of RVs.

Try this:
Ottawa Municipal Campground - Home
Not bad, and low cost.

Thanks David. Yes, Walmart is a well known option but.... to be used as a last resort. It's very often located in busy and noisy environment.
Then, I like the idea of sharing. I can't see myself asking the whole Walmart store to stop by our drive way!!

Thanks Roy. A good option indeed. Have you been there yourself? It looks very near the highway.... Is it noisy?

I've been there Franck,
I don't recall it being noisy, but I am losing my hearing. I'll ask the Mrs. in the morning and post if it was noisy.
