Pinezanita Campground is above 4000' elevation in the Cuyamaca Mountains just 4 miles south of Julian California on state highway 79. It is a family run park and the owners go out of their way to make you comfortable. Not expensive, by Southern California standards. Robert an I were there with the Southern California chapter of RainbowRV. At our age it is nice to be the "cute" couple with the "cute" trailer.

Our friends next door were so proud of their latest mod for their Motorhome; a dishwasher!

It was c-cold overnight, the high 30's Friday nite and the low 40's Saturday nite. Daytime was in the mid 60's.

We spent Saturday afternoon in Julian. The most memorable shopping was at The Birdwatcher . Among other stuff, they have a large supply of pink flamingo lawn ornaments!

Looks like a nice campground! The best thing is we don't have to go north through L.A. to get there! We have talked about checking Julian out but haven't.

A dishwasher? That's why there are paper plates!

Looks like your set up went without a hitch, thanks to your checklists, right Fred? hehe And don't you have two dishwashers yourself, you and Robert? hehe
Seriously, looks and sounds like a great place, will have to add it to the list of future destinations!
HUGS!
Joe

We had lunch at a hole-in-the-wall cafe... (The name escapes me...) We each had the special: 1/2 Turkey Sandwich, cup of Broccoli-Cheese Soup, and a slice of Julian Pie... about $8... Robert had Boysenberry-Apple and I had Classic Apple.

Did it rain inside ? After a couple of cold nights waking up with droplets of condensation pattering on my sleeping bag I bit the bullet and insulated the Stream.

Thanks for the report and tip on The Birdwatcher. Both are now bookmarked for the future! BTW, Flamingos rock, we never leave home without a pair. Nowhere near your flock, however. Impressive....

The condensation doesn't seem to be that heavy for us, but the inside of the shell is usually damp to the touch in the morning.
The windows have the most moisture, but they drain well thru the weep holes.

It hasn't bothered our sleeping.

Frederick,

New Question - Your outdoor table is really cool. Did you make it or buy it? If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery... you might be flattered.... Information, please and thank you!

Do you mean the table on the Porta-Leggs?

when I bought the trailer!
I usually set it up outside because Robert prefers to keep the King Bed set up.
