Taken in isolation - thats quite a funny observation about a pass that ONLY seniors can get.....

Senior camping discounts for British Columbia residents that are 65 years of age and older are available from the day after Labour Day to June 14th of the following year. During the peak season (June 15 – Labour Day), there are no seniors discounts.

I have no problem with this. I think we seniors get a lot of undeserved discounts. And, companies are coming to the same conclusion as baby boomers become seniors. Too many to qualify for discounts.

The purpose of the Senior pass is to honor those who have come before us and help make it possible for them to enjoy the country which they and their predecessors have built for our enjoyment. We extended this courtesy to our parents and and so far our children have done the same for us.

If they now decide not to fully honor the Senior Pass, then I for one will not use mine where it is not honored completely.
I would rather pay full price than to accept the condescension of only 20% of the discount promised.... better yet, I will avoid going where I am not wanted... peak periods or otherwise.

The good news may well be that this whole thing may well be untrue since it appears to be a perennial unrealized threat.

Are you sure that was their motive?
If it was, maybe the money used for senior discounts should be used to help those who aren't fortunate enough to buy a camper and burn fuel to travel. Maybe that discount should go to families who camp in tents.

Yes, I'd like to think that that was the motive, and no, I don't think it was a call for Socialism.
Not speaking of the motives of foreign countries.
