Point Pelee National Park, Ontario, camping site ?

Somebody of the forum can indicate me a campsite interesting near this park.

Parks Canada - Point Pelee National Park - Point Pelee National Park

Thank you,
Gilles.

Gilles. I once lived just 15klm's from Point Pelee and knew the area well. Sorry I can't help you with any current camp sites.

I found this one,

Ontario Campgrounds, Ontario RV Parks, Best Camping in Ontario

it seems good, it's 10 min. of the park and I received good comments of another forum...

Looks like a nice place Gilles and the location is perfect for you accessing Point Pelee.

One of the highlights IMHO of the park is walking out to the point at the extreme south end. You will feel like you are out in the middle of Lake Erie.

which one to choose???

I am familiar with most of the campsites in Ontario. Canada. IMO, Sturgeon site is very closed to Point Pelee but to me, it's worst. Not much shades, packed like....sardines in a can, private owned, stinky baths, nothing to play away from your own trailer/camp-site, except sitting in their hall with..slow-like-a-turtle wifi 5 bucks a day ( years ago) or bicycling to Point Pelee( fee is EXTRA) which is at least 30 minutes of biking. On top of that, the rate is....expensive compared to others. I wouldn't go back there ONCE again even if it is offered FREE of charges. Try the WHEATLY PROVINCIAL PARK, not far away which I've been there at least a few times a year. Cheer...

Thank you Randy.
I found expensive the campsite Sturgeon, but I said to myself that if it was good and what I would save from some money on the travel, but....
My first idea was the provincial campsite of Wheatly and you have just supported my intuition.

Can you suggest me some sites in the campsite of Wheatly?
Thanks to the advance,

Log in Ontario Park, on line reservation. From there you can see the whole map of Wheatly Provincial Park and photo of each site in particularly. That is also the way I book my camping sites in all of the parks. In Wheatly, I like the higher creek, but sometimes for more privacy, I booked PREMIUM HYDRO SITES, which costs a bit more but worth for the....privacy. Cheer...
