We returned home after a great summer with our burro and I've been working on it since then. I'm inching to take it out on my own after I finish restoring the door. Any suggestions for beautiful spots along the coast around LA?

Wow! Can't help with the campspots, but can compliment you on the progress. I'll wait patiently for the finished pictures

One of our favorite campspots north of LA on highway is Oceana Campround at Pismo Beach. It is either city or county, do not remember. There are 2 parts - an older inland section where you check in, and area nearer tbe beach, which is where we stayed. I do not remember the cost but we liked it so well, we stayed an extra night. They do take reservations.

Hum. Not very coastal, but I haven't seen it and it looks promising.

Oops missed the "coast" part. Still a great place. I wouldn't recommend the coast of the salton sea though :-/
