Finally got around to doing our first shake down trip, going down to Victoria for a couple of days to take in the Burton Cummings show.
When we pulled in, we knew we would be the poor cousins in our little 13' trillium
, imagine our surprise that we weren't the only one there! Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to say hi to the other trill before they left.
We hadn't been to Westbay for about 7-8 years & weren't sure if it would still be okay, but we were pleasantly surprised. It is located on the water in Victoria, just across the bridge in Esquimalt. Downtown is about a 40 minute walk along the Westsong walkway on the ocean, Spinnakers brewpub is about a 20 minute walk, you could take one of the cute little harbor ferries which land right at the RV park. While it's not really camping, it is a nice, convenient place to park your egg when you need to visit the capital region.
