Scalloping in Florida

I am interested in a good campground in Florida to stay at in my casita in August, close enough to take a day trip scalloping. I know someone on here has done this. Thanks in advance

Nothing like scalloping in the Gulf and trying to find little them buggers, Need a bigger net and aqualungs for me. I lived in Orlando for 10 yrs and would go shrimping on the east coast and scalloping and fishing on the gulf. Best of all worlds living there. I will be watching for an answer as camping in Fl again is on my bucket list.

I'm going to stay at rainbow springs state park and travel to crystal river for a day of scalloping. It's about an hour away

a very nice campground, near the gulf, is OSCAR SCHERER state park right between Sarasota and Osprey. We have been there several times and its a very nice place. Good luck with your hunting.
