I also dislike double postings but will post in a couple of Scamp / Fiberglass RV locations. It was a great event and I hope to see everyone there again next year. Good info for those who couldn't make the Homecoming.


I have two small clarifications to add...


1] The two halves are completely fiberglassed together into one piece from the inside and the Belly Band is added as trim, it is not really structural.


2] After the mold is prepped, the gelcoat is sprayed into the mold first then the fiberglass is sprayed in over it, it then comes out of the mold already gelcoated.

I started to follow him and "LITTLE MAN" in 2017 when we both bought our Scamps. I think he plans to post more from the rally.

Yes, thanks to John for the video about Scamp factory and trailers. I am curious on what exactly is the composite material that Scamp will use for the floors in 2025 trailers. Just my personal opinion the composite floor is not automatically better that old floor. There have been many reports about delamination and bubbles developing in these material. It would be awfully hard to fix if those issues developed with the new floor. More often than not newer things is not automatically better than old ways, remember the 2018-2020 scamp door hinges? But I also believe it is good thing that Scamp is experimenting with new things on their trailer. Love the new option of using maple cabinet doors and draw fronts on the standard fiberglass kitchen and storage cabinets. I give credit to the new generation of scamp managements in bringing in changes. This also encourages changes in competitors as well, casita is also speeding up bringing in changes in its trailers if I am not mistaken. Let’s see what time will bring to these beloved fiberglass trailers. Exciting times!!!
