Sherwin Creek campground near Mammoth

We have reservations for Sherwin Creek campground near Mammoth, Calif. I just noticed that it is one and a half miles on a gravel road to get in. Has anyone been there? My car would be no problem, but we're unsure of the trailer.
Any other suggestions for this area? We chose this one because it could be reserved.

The road is fine. Be prepared for dust on the way in and in the campground. Pretty area, creek close by.

Hi,

Have camped at Sherwin Creek.
No problem coming in from Mammoth side.
If you come up from 395 side it is a long
dusty haul. Campsites near the road can be
a bit dusty. Great area. Have fun!

If you are fit you can bicycle to town.
