Hi gang I just got back from Indiana delivering Anne here new 1981
Burro.
Quite an adventure went frm Elk River, Mn to Mason City to Iowa City I80 to I 74 to Indy.
While going through Cedar Rapids Iowa in Rush Hour traffic I was in the centerlane of the three south bound I380.
The truck and trailer in front of me wa haulinh straw bales and about in the center of Downtown in Rush hour traffic a bales falls off and lands wedged if my left front tire - actually stoping ot from turning at 55MPH. Lucky for me the Burb and the
Burro the cars on either side of me seen it happen and backed off about a ha;f a car length behind the
Burro or so. I put on my right blinker to alert the driver on my right and cranked the wheel hard to the right and then left it broke the bale and it exploded to the left creating a BIG Mess. Luckey the car on the left had backed off and every on made it through unhurt. And the Burro was not dammaged.
The rest of the 1403 mile trip in 32 hour was uneventfull after that.
I felt great about the Burro's new owner ( she also has an rescue Austrialian shepperd dog)
I didn't ask if she was a fan of Hank jr and Waylon if so the Burro will fell right at home.
Now I have to give the Cassita some personality. sent in my
registration for Bayfield and bought fabric for the cushions that aren't there.
Next wekk I'll start rebuilding the moter on the Burb and we can get camping
