Strange fall for an RV trip

Sorry I thought that I posted this report already, but here it is now.
I like to travel after Labor Day to avoid the crowds, but that did not work this year. Many others I am sure did the same thing, but with the wildfire evacuations things were very crowded in the west. Many of the campgrounds that I had planed to use were full. I never got far from the main traffic areas, so others may have had openings, but I did not look to hard.
The parking lot at old faithful was full for the 4PM eruption but cleared out shortly after. It was also the day I walked within 30 feet of a sleeping Bison in the brush along the trail overlooking the geyser. The geyser was late but being on a mountain side without smoke was a breath of fresh air for sure. Both I and the geyser are getting old and slow, we decided to call it the geezer geyser.
Not only was there heavy RV traffic, the was heavy MOLDED FIBER GLASS RV traffic. Scamps, Escapes, Casitas, and a Nest at the next fuel pump over in Oregon, and one more that I did not recognize.
It took little time for figure out that people were waving at the Scamp, not me.

Thanks for your report! I can just imagine being at the geezer geyser.

I guess I was already a geezer at age 12, because I was less than impressed by Old Faithful. Maybe it's just almost being a teen on a family vacation.

We all go to see it it the summer. The best pictures are taken on calm, below zero days. That's the time I stay home.
I could spend days in the park , never go to old faith full and love every minute of it. And don't forget the wild life. Had this animal snorted, my heart would have stopped.

I love Yellowstone. Spent five days there my last visit, could have easily spent ten. Zero interest in Old Faithful.
