Hi Everyone!
We are thinking of heading North this summer towards the Thousand Islands. I have camping information for the American side, but would like some input regarding nice spots on the Canadian side.
We have our Boler, but do not need hookups or fancy campgrounds. Dog friendly would be a plus.
Any suggestions please?!
Thanks, Marjie

Hi Marjie s.
I can't help you any with the Canadian side but if you ever need any other information for the American side let me know. I live in the Thousand Islands area & do most of my camping along the St. Lawrence River at the State Parks on the American side. They really are quite beautiful.

Everyone,
Thanks so much for the great ideas! And pictures too!
Even though it is months away, I really enjoy planning trips when the weather is still cold and yucky.
Thanks again,
Marjie

Alf,
Thanks for the link, it is exactly what I need.
Ahh, the lovely Riverside Motel. We stayed there last year on the advice of another FGRV member. We were travelling from Letchworth State Park to Niagria Falls to Bolerama, and the stop at Riverside was perfect. We were parked all the way in the back, and except for a very daring skunk (our dog was safe in the trailer at night, another dog wasn't as lucky) it was very quiet.
Yes indeed, planning is half the fun!
Marjie

We've stayed here:
http://skycroft.com/main.html
North of Kingston
Nice place with only a few non seasonal sites.
Quiet, clean and dog friendly.
Aside from fish, we saw deer, racoons and wild turkey.
