We picked up our
Trillium last weekend, in the rain, and after much help getting it wired and hitched up, headed up to Boone, NC. Honey Bear campground, very nice lady who got up to let us in late after I drove very, very slowly on windy mountain roads in heavy fog and torrential rain.
Campsite had a stream running alongside and little trails to explore. Nearby attractions included kiddie railroad and Grandfather Mountain-both covered in rain and fog. So, our plans changed to explore Linville Caverns (really neat cave) and 'gem mining' with the kids.
We even found a
trillium growing near our site.
