Thanks Keith.

Turns out that the view of Rushmore thru the tunnel was just too blown out. There's nothing there to bring back, even in RAW. Oh well.

That scene was a tough exposure no matter how you shot it Mike. I gave the screen capture a go in Photoshop ... it's okay, just don't look too closely!

Beautiful photos! (and yeah, 14-bit RAW is unstoppable for image quality) It sounds like a fabulous trip.

I've heard those flowers called "Bear Flowers" and "Bear Paws", but I think the most popular name is "Bear Grass".

Looks like you had a great time at Glacier. I was there in early July.

I was glancing through here and realized that I'd left out one of my favorite photos, from the Apgar dock at Lake McDonald. So here it is.

Thanks Mike for the wonderful trip report! And gorgeous photography. It looked like you had a great time. I'm planning a trip from my home base in New England to Colorado this Summer. I'm sure that my pictures won't be nearly as good as yours, but thanks for the tip of bringing along the tripod. LOL..I'm almost never in the pics.
Loved your trip report. Happy camping!

Thank you for taking us on your trip, Mike. I thoroughly enjoyed your narrative and your wonderful pictures. I travelled through much of the same areas years ago......with my m'cycle. You helped me to re-live some of those trips.
