Very good! The arches trail at Red Canyon is a fave of mine... west of Bryce a few miles. Wish I had taken a horse ride into Bryce Canyon. Maybe someday.

Andy, better you than me.
Didn't Lucy and Ricky go over that in the Long Long Trailer? What a bunch of wimps only taking the TV

My oldest accompanied me on the angels landing hike. Not for those who are afraid of heights or lots of switchbacks. Memorable!

Awesome trip, Andy. Thanks for sharing! But, don't know how you could stand the tie-dye for that long - a little tie-dye goes a long ways!

It looks like you did about 6 passes near Ouray. Do you have some favorites to recommend? I'm hoping to spend some time down there with my old Willys 3A and am interested to know what trails are "not to miss" and which aren't so great. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks for the photos Andy!

Every time I see the Grand Canyon it's like seeing it for the first time. I never tire of that amazing place.

I'm in tie dye all the time. I can't get enough of it.

As for the best of the passes. Black Bear was my favorite followed by Imogene. Then I enjoyed the first part of Engineer to the pass out of Ouray ( via Mineral creek) then I would backtrack to Cinnamon then to California Gulch, Hurricane Pass , and Corkscrew Gulch back to Ouray.

My neighbor at the campground, Wade, led a group of 17 flat fenders over black Bear and back through Imogene one of the days we were there. Said a couple of the jeeps had air lock but they all made it.

Have a great time.

Thanks and No problem. I hope you all had a great time. Post a pic or two.

The songs in the video are by one of my favorite artists Josh Garrels.

I know Wade and have been reading about their adventures on the CJ2A page. Sounds like they did have a good week of it! They also have mentioned to "not do it alone". How did you handle that? Did you just show up at the trail heads and tag along with other vehicles? Or did you have a guide?

We just showed up and we're fortunate enough to meet up with people to run the trails with. Some of the trails were less traveled than others but there were plenty of people on them. You don't need a guide but the Colorado trails book is necessary IMO. The group we hung with on Black Bear and Imogene did help winch a couple back onto the trail (Imogene).
