Dear Oregon State Parks Customer:
Over the next few months, Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) and its contractor, Active Network (formerly Reserve America), will be making a major upgrade to our reservation system.
The upgrade is essentially a complete software overhaul of all components of the reservation system, including Reservations Northwest (our Portland call center, staffed by OPRD), the online reservation function, and computer systems at each reservable state park. During the time that the new system is installed— from March 31 at 5:00 pm to April 14 at 8:00 am—the call center and all reservation functions, including online reservations, will be shut down. This is necessary to make sure all data is transferred properly and accurately.
During the upgrade, there are some important dates we want to make you aware of:
5:00 pm
Wednesday, March 31, 2010: The Reservations Northwest call center closes at 5pm. No reservations may be made either through the call center or online through Active Network until the call center reopens.
8:00 am
Wednesday, April 14: Reservations Northwest call center reopens at 8am. Phone and online reservations resume.
During the call center closure (March 31-April 14) no changes may be made to existing reservations. If you need to cancel a reservation, call by Reservations Northwest at 1-800-452-5687, 24 hours/day, or by email at oprd.reservation[at]state.or.us. For cancellations within two days of arrival, please contact the park where you have your reservation. For general park information, please call the Oregon State Parks Information Center at 1-800-551-6949, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.
We want to assure you that any reservations you have made for the 2010 camping season will be honored. During the two week reservation hiatus, our state parks will not be affected. They will open as scheduled, and you can go camping on a first come, first served basis for those two weeks. Check our website at
www.oregonstateparks.org for opening dates.
