I have just updated our Alaska blog, including pictures:

We have stayed the last three days at a full service campground (Bear Paw) in downtown Valdez, but had to leave there because there was a large caravan coming in that had prior reservations. The weather for today and tomorrow were forecast to be wonderful, with Saturday being in the 50s with rain. So, we found a more rustic campground where we will stay another two nights and then drive on the bad weather day.
Today I ran 4 miles and walked 1 mile on a bike path that goes along Prince William Sound. It is a road and path that leads to the terminus of the Alaska pipeline and passes by the Solomon Gulch fish hatchery. The water is absolutely boiling with salmon. Nearly every evening, bear come out to feed and when the tide is out, the eagles come down to feed on the fish remains. Last night I counted over 100 eagles. There are also quite a few sea lions.
Needless to say, we are very much enjoying our time in Valdez.
