Anyone know of any good campgrounds in the Delta area that have hookups and are on the quiet side that would be good for a weekend in January? Or even any place a little south of there maybe?

I have stayed at the Stockton Delta KOA for a quick overniter. It's a typical KOA, but it does have full hook ups and it right on the water.

There is a county campground right across the road from it that is nice, but no hook ups, and I'll be dingled if I can't remember the name. I will stay there for the stopover next time. I did last time I went to the Oregon Rally.

I have stayed other places, but there are no hook ups. What was the state park I stayed at on the Stanislaus River before I stopped at your house?

We stayed at the Stockton Delta KOA this year and wouldn't recommend it. But I can't recommend one for you either....

- We paid 65.00 plus taxes for a night at the Stockton Delta.

Not on the Delta, but a little bit to the south is Dos Reis Regional Park. Easy access off Interstate 5, right next to the river's levee.
$20 per night for [b]full hookups. Robert and I stayed there on our way to the Oregon Gathering last July.

Hi Lisa,

The Delta Area is not a great place to go in January (fog season). The Bay Area may be OK, as they have an early Spring (Feb better than Jan). I know you are familiar with the more southern areas and the coast. How about the desert for the winter months? Anza Borrego is a great place to take your Casita!
