Westcotts Beach, Watertown, NY

Hi everyone,

A lovely day here. Might get some rain later but great to be here! Watertown is where I grew up so always come back once a year to relive memories.

Here it is 11:30 in the morn and my daughter and dig are already snoozing again! Ah, the camping life. Of course, I've already done all the morning camp jobs. Had to drop my porta potty this am and I hope it doesn't decide to leak...yikes!Click image for larger version

Yes, Kirkman, it's been great! Cool and overcast this am, but I've got a cuppa hot stove perked coffee, what could be better?

Where do you camp in Pulaski? I'm about to take the dog on her morning walk, in my Jammie's of course. Gotta love camping. Nobody cares .

Cheers,
Wendy

Yes the fishing is good. I am not a fan of fishing with the mass of crazy people that show up for the salmon run, but I do like fly fishing the river and the other small creeks around for trout.

Just returned from a weeks trip to the same area. Stayed 3 nights on Wellesley Island SP; did all the boat and castle tours out of Alex Bay. Then move to Long Point SP out on Chaumont Bay for 2 nights; the water front sites were great and the sunsets beautiful.

Last day here. Rained gently last night but sun is peeking through this am. Always sad to leave my home town. And camping does something for my soul here that I can't explain. I love the lake here and think about it all winter!

Happy and safe travels to all,
Wendy

Isn't that Boldt Castle tour great? We've done those boat & castle tours a few times. We used to vacation in the 1000 Islands summers in the 90's.
