With a forecast for sunny weather my wife and I took our 13 foot Escape trailer "Ladybug" on its maiden voyage to Bay View State Park, WA, which is close to Anacortes.

We arrived last Thursday and were able to get a choice camping spot with a view of Padilla Bay. The campsites have power and water, but no sewer hookups. You can find out more from

http://www.parks.wa.gov/parks/?selectedpark=Bay+View

On Friday it was surprisingly warm, about 59 degrees F. Daffodils are in bloom here and in La Conner, a daffodil growing area close by. Here are a few pictures of our trip:

Wow - nice pics Brian - you picked a perfect weekend! We wondered if the tulips would be early this year - want to get back up to the Skagit Valley Tulip festival one of these years - beautiful area!

Kathie:

We are planning to attend this rally near you in April:

The tulips are not out yet in La Conner. I understand that there should be some out near you by April.

I really liked Bayview state park. Easy to watch the kiddo and a quick walk to the beach.

OOOOOOOOOOooooo I am getting itchy to be on the road. Am thinking about Death Valley next month for flowers. Have Scamp 13 already packed and ready, just can't wait. Marg in NW California

I finally figured out how to post a link to my photos of Ladybug's maiden voyage to Bay View State Park, WA.

Here it is:

And here is a link to our most recent trip to Deception Pass State Park, WA

Let me know if you have difficulty viewing these.
