Nice photos! I believe we took well over 400 the last time we were in Yellowstone in 2007. I still marvel at some of them!

WOW is about all I can think to say. What magnificent creatures. To think they were almost extinct and killed in mass number from railcars. Ted Turner has one of the largest free ranging herds. Just dont want one of them and your vehicle/trailer to come in contact.

We have been in Custer State Park in South Dakota when the bison herds have been so thick that they covered the fields and the road in front of us. In fact, the line of cars we were in just stopped and the bison just wandered around the cars. I was always a bit nervous that one of them would just shake those big horns and smack into our van!

Gee... I wonder if the hot spring by the side of road north of Mammoth Hot Springs is still accessible. I remember skinny dipping there on New Years Day in, ummm, I think it was 1976 or so. Air temp was around 20F...water temp...pick your own! 33F by the river up to 180F near the springs.

We need to stop working on them and get out there traveling.

Ms. Brooke,
Thank you so very much for sharing with us!!! It really is inspirational
and a joy to see what possibly awaits those of us that have not boldly gone forth as your party and your lil' mouse are doing! Personally, I just wish I was not so far from the Great Northwest, but, that may be a good excuse to just keep going when I do get out of here...

I don't agree with Laura about the KOA there.

Gary, sadly lots has changed in Yellowstone since the 70's & not all of it good. Although the sight of a bunch of folks skinny dipping or wearing speedo's in the hot springs may not be one of the things that some folks miss seeing

Yellowstone
Our daughter and family just got back from there this morning. The pictures she sent us are beautiful-what a great place!
It has been years since we were there-still remember how unique it is.
Have lots of un.

Great pictures Brooke.
You are doing what I want to do and why I got my Campster. I have not been up to Yellowstone or the Tetons and am now excited to get there. This summer isn't going to work but maybe next.
