Several days ago at a State Park at Lake Amistad in Texas I came across a couple full-timing in a 17ft Casita. They had been in this mode for four years.

Their words of advice was to not to purchase anything unless it was to replace something you were going to discard.

About their only complaint was the size of the shower was such that they almost always used campground showers.

Their tow vehicle was a Dodge Dakota pickup. They seemed to have everything set up and organized effectively.

Wow - nice. I tow with a Dakota as well. Plus, after 4 years, I bet they have down to a science! I can't imagine actually living out of a Casita personally - but the people that are doing it impresses me immensely.

Zowwwweeeee! or maybe

I actually find the shower very acceptable and I'm 6' 4" and 230#, but full-timing! Although I think Pete has been full timing in his 13' Scamp for some years but its just him and some rats.

Whoo-hoo! Just chiming in here to say we (Dave & Leslie) are beginning our 16th month as full-timers in our Scamp 13 and LOVIN' it! The folks Loren spoke to in TX had it right ... in this arrangement, when something new comes in, something old goes OUT! Dave loves this feature, of course, since now I can't be a packrat as in our 'bricks & mortar' days. Our needs are simple and our GeezerEgg has everything we need. We are having the best time ever and will continue into the foreseeable future.

Wishing everyone Happy Holidays (camping or not), and safe journeys always. L 'n D

I FullTimed for three years in a 16' Jayco and then six years in my Scamp 13', with rats and a hedgehog. No shower (there was one in the Jayco, but I used it for storage and hanging wet stuf), but I used CG showers or swam in lakes, creeks, etc., in warm weather (and the weather can always be adjusted to warm by turning the round, black, weather controls under the trailer in the right direction).

However, I did have a full covered pickup truck bed to store stuf in. I was impressed when I met guys in van campers with no trailers for storage.

Pete, from the post above it seems that you may not be fulltiming anymore? That so?
