One other option would be a major modification of our Bigfoot. It has a very substantial frame. Is there any point to engineering a slide out for this 5th wheel? It would probably be cheaper than buying a new unit, if it even exists.

Have you tried moving some of your living to a high quality screen house? When we camp or travel, often for 3 months at a time, we spend so little time actually inside our camper that space is not much of an issue. We often, unless in bear country, set up an outdoor kitchen and eating area in our Clam.

I will never own a trailer with slide outs, fiberglass and Airstreams are for the true camper, if I wanted to take my home with me I would just stay home. Well maybe that a little strong wording, but I don't want to feel I need all that extra room to have that camping experience and enjoy to outdoor life. We have an Oliver and it's so superior to a box trailer in quality, resale, and durability.
