1964 16' Roya-lite Fiberglass Travel Trailer - $4000

... an extremely rare 1964 Roya-lite fiberglass travel trailer made by Stewart Coach Ind. Bristol, IN. I have been told that this maybe the only one still on the road. Made right in the RV capital. Uniroyal came out with a version of this trailer, Royal Trailer in 1965 and 1966 and another company designed one in 1967 called a Travel-eze, so I guess this would be considered a prototype. Axles and rims have been replaced with new larger ones and the electrical has also been updated. The only thing that needs to be done to make the trailer fully functional is to update the LP regulator and new LP tanks and run the water lines. Appliances include stove, frig, furnace and water heater. Inside clearance is 80". Beds/couch, table/bed and bathroom(toilet only) and plenty of space for length of trailer. Total weight is under 1000 lbs, so it could easily pulled by a small truck or SUV. Contact for further details or more pictures. Serious inquiries only please.

Good eye Donna! It did look familiar to me too.

But reading that old thread the description in the new ad is almost identical too!

Still, it's an interesting trailer and needs a good home! Despite the discussion on Royalex vs fiberglass.

I just googled Royalex. Interesting. I'd never heard of it. So are you saying the Roya-lite is made of that rather than fiberglass?


Oh, and I just noticed. Is it really double axle? Looks more like a 13' trailer. That would certainly be unusual, and rather overkill even at 16'.

This is at least the second time I've seen this ad. These words... hummm "Axles and rims have been replaced with new larger ones." Why not take a new picture?

I smell a rat. Any current owner should take a current photo... there's no snow on the ground in Ft. Myers. Then there's the fact that one can only contact the 'seller' via e-mail... this always arouses my suspicions.
