I came sooooo close to buying one here more than once.
They are very cool and there are a few interesting floor plans too.

The one that I was closest to pulling the trigger on looked great until the current furry tenants showed themselves as I was checking it out the 3rd time.

They were a lot more invested in being there than I was and it turned out a good thing that I walked away.

I found out later that it had caught on fire and burned down from chewed wiring thanks to the animals.

Good Call for once or just lucky?

I have wandered through several of the 'fan' sites for these rigs, they are pretty impressive as far as motorhomes go. I even saw a very interesting film clip where a guy put a diesel engine in his, talk about a MAJOR mod! hehe
Like any RV rigs, they have pluses and minuses though, and right now, my little FGRV is perfect for me! hehe

The Salvation Army in Denver used to have one of these units. It was originally a mobile command post for the Colorado State Police that was donated to TSA. We used it as a communications van. It was the no-window model with a 7kw generator, adjustable spotlights on each corner, green light visa-bar (to indicate a command post), siren and multiple rack mount radios in the back. Only problem was that it came with a 318 engine. Acceleration was 0-60 in about 3 minutes on level ground and heaven help us if we had to drive up to someplace like Georgetown (I had to do that once). I think it took me a whole afternoon to get to Georgetown from Denver. I think they finally scrapped it out. It was all white (nicknamed Moby Dick) and was a tempting target for taggers.
