AB (Canada) - Trillium 1300 - 1971 - $2500

This trailer has a few issues, but the fundamentals are awesome. The fibreglass has no sags. There are quite a few small holes that need patching, and the front window has to be replaced.

The fridge was installed in a way that probably did not work very well, but they preserved the logo. That vent would be fine for a 12 VDC compressor fridge.

Judging by the dimensions of the furnace vent, It was probably an old Coleman furnace. If another could be located, I would just put it back.

The glass on the inside was in better shape then the outside. Notice the support bar on the kitchen counter. I credit this with the no sag.

Colour Green
Year 1971
Needs some TLC. Bought it to restore but lost interest. Original propane fridge and Furnace have been removed and replaced with 12 volt fridge and catalytic propane heater. All signal lights work and tires and bearing are good. will post pics soon.

It seems fitting for that trailer to be at Outback... it looks like it should be out back behind the barn! Amazing how well they spruce up when renovation is done, though.

I was kinda surprised to see rivets holding the cabinetry in place. The rivets are installed from the inside. Outside the rivets are pounded flat.

Well, it looks like the person who had this trailer fixed up, now wants to sell it. I would like to let them know that their asking price is kinda high. This is especially true for a trailer that has no cupboard doors, fridge, stove, sink, or table.

It looks like Joe Thoen put in new insulation and rat fur, as well as his corner cabinets, and front and back windows, with a new rock guard on the front.

If my math is correct, $2500, (probably less) + $5000 in repairs = $500 less then the asking price.

They have removed the kitchen support, which I thought added a lot of value.

Still no rear bumper though.

What is sad is that the Ensolite looked to be in good shape, other then the section that had fallen off under the front window. That is probably where most of the cost of the repairs went.

I am selling my trillium camper for $8,000. I did just get $5,000 worth of work on it since the summer. And unfortunately have to sell it. All the electrical has been done plus new windows and new inside walls. All done professionally. There are just a few things that need to be done inside and a paint job. Very light weight. Just over 1000lb and can be towed by most vehicles

I saw that trailer listed too Dave, but did not put it together with your referral. Some nice things done, but wow, what a price. Makes the renos I plan to do to the one I bought for my daughter seem very worthwhile.

I would be surprised if they get anything close to that. Something more like $3500 to $4000 seems reasonable. People just don't understand that retail repair rates don't translate to an equal dollar value increase in a private sale.

Rat fur is just not that much better then Ensolite, (I think it is worse).

Other then the style of the older Trillium's, the rims is what really gave it away for me.

The early Trilliums were very much like Bolers. They had solid windows front and back, and two pane jalousies on the sides.

Joe Thoen put much larger solid windows in, just like the trailers he manufactures.

The first time I visited this trailer the front window was badly cracked. You can see this in the pictures in the second post.

Now $6500. Likely the cost of purchase + cost of reno.
